Georgia’s Spring Update

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re all enjoying this strange, but pleasantly surprising, weather we’ve been having.  Calling for rain one minute, bursts of sunshine the next – welcome to Vancouver!

On that note, hard to believe we’re nearing the end of spring and summer is fast approaching.  I’m sure you’ve all been keeping busy as I have, so I wanted to take a moment and share with you some of the fun things I’ve been up to and exciting events coming up.

Last month I had a fantastic opportunity to be showcased in TV Week Magazine with a quick snapshot of my life as an artist – past, present, future – which then led to a podcast with the CEO himself, Peter Legge.  What a fun interview, talking all things art with Peter and getting a chance to highlight both my struggles and accomplishments, but more importantly why I love what I do.  The link to the full podcast was shared on my social media channels, and thanks to those of you who reached out with some really kind words after watching!  If you haven’t had a chance yet you can check out the full interview by clicking here.

My social media channels, still fairly new to me, have been a lot of fun in connecting with other local artists and seeing a new perspective and world to the art community!  I’m always looking for ways to grow and stay innovative, and it’s giving me fresh ideas, but also allowing me to revisit old ones.

I recently remembered some smaller framed prints and cards of my original paintings I’ve had, and thought why not share these with everyone again?  This sparked the inspiration of hosting a little end-of-spring Small Art Pop Up Show and Sale next month!

On June 5th, I’ll be displaying and selling some of these smaller pieces at lower price points between $10 to $300, from framed prints of my original paintings, to greeting cards and smaller acrylic pieces on canvas.  It’ll be a little preview of my bigger show and sale in July 😉 (stay tuned for more info on this) PLUS we’ll have some live music from local musicians which I’m really excited for!  Details can be found on my facebook event page here.
Hope to see you all there!

And last but not least, my floral showcase is still up on display and available for purchase at The Secret Garden Tea Company.  This truly is an unbiased opinion because google reviews will share the same sentiment, but I have to say – they really have the BEST high tea menu in the city with amazing themes for different seasons and holidays.  Highly recommend visiting for a great high tea experience, but of course, enjoy my floral paintings while you’re there!  Take some photos and tag me @georgiayoungsart on Instagram 😊

That’s all for now.  Connect with me on all my social media channels if you haven’t already!  I’d love to hear from you.  And hope to see you all at my small art pop-up on June 5th.  Stay tuned for the big show in July…
